Paul Burel is Director of the Retail Portfolio within Fujitsu America’s Retail Business Group. Formerly the Director of Retail Consulting at Fujitsu America, Paul has worked with retailers around the world to help them understand the opportunities for operational and sales productivity improvement through the adoption, experimentation and implementation of new and emerging retail technologies.

Paul joined Fujitsu in 2006 following 14 years in Senior Management with The Home Depot, Inc. USA, the world's largest Home Improvement Retailer and one of the top five retailers worldwide. Paul spent the majority of his time at Home Depot working both in Store Operations and Information Technology management where he helped bridge the gaps between IT and the business teams across the company. Prior to joining Home Depot, Paul spent 9 year as a professional consulting electrical engineer specializing in Retail store, supply chain and corporate enterprise power, data and communications systems infrastructure design and construction.

Paul has worked with a number of US Retail industry groups, user communities and retail alliances to help develop strategies to exploit the benefits of new technologies, through operational processes improvements, as well as provides analysis and support in the development of strategies for next generation technology introduction to the retail marketplace. Paul has traveled extensively through Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania working with retailers and industry groups.
