0-Watt AC Adapter for LIFEBOOKs

With the 0-Watt AC Adapter, Fujitsu sets new standards in Green IT.

The 0-Watt AC Adapter guarantees that your LIFEBOOK notebook does not consume electricity when it is switched off but connected to the power socket. It is optionally available for dedicated LIFEBOOKs and replaces the ordinary AC Adapter that comes with your notebook. Hence, the 0-Watt AC Adapter allows you and your company to save energy and electricity costs. The annual energy saving of a notebook with 0-Watt AC Adapter amounts to 1,678 kWh per year which reflects a CO2 cut of about 760g. This represents a CO2 cut of 93% per year and ensures you a significant cost reduction.

Hi Arie, the 0-Watt AC Adapter is "On", when the LIFEBOOK E, S, P or T is activated ("On"). As soon as you switch off the LIFEBOOK (to S5), the AC Adapter will switch to 0-Watt mode, when the battery does not need to be loaded. The battery will not be loaded when is loading status is above 90%. As soon as the battery is below 90% the AC Adapter is activated to load the battery. - Daniel
